About Me…
My name is Alma and my passion for sewing started before I even started school; my mum, my grandma and all my aunties are incredibly passionate seamstresses, they taught me needlework before I learned to read or write. And since then sewing has been my true passion and creative expression.
I worked with a wonderfully talented mother in her Atelier all through school and learnt traditional and modern sewing techniques. In an effort to help me break past the family tradition of seamstresses, I studied Engineering in Milan (all the while secretly dreaming of sewing and always going back to it for comfort). Needless to say all and any efforts to pull me away from my craft didn't work and I went back to sewing as soon as I had the opportunity. I now specialise in altering Wedding Dresses and Suits but also really enjoy all sorts of sewing challenges.
I started my business in Brighton in 2012 in the Lanes. If you're reading this probably you have a sewing challenge for me or need my expertise, I'm really looking forward to helping you.

Alma's team offer fantastic service. I've used them 5 times now, at both the Marina store and the Town store, and it has always been excellent. 10/10 service, I had a suit that I bought online tailored here and I couldn't be happier. I went to Alma to get my wedding dress altered and I am so pleased with how well the dress now compliments my figure.
